Progressy stuff and moving house

This weekend we’re moving house. Apologies to anyone who’s hanging out for any packages - by Sunday I’m hoping to have my studio set up, and me in it, to skein yarn and post it. I hope, anyway.

I’ve been knitting stuff and even *gasp* finishing stuff!

This is from String or Nothing’s site and I knit it with some Noro I got from the Quilt and Craft fair last year. Isn’t it gorgeous?

Oooer! Knit!

I knit some of the "That 70s Yarn" up into a mobile phone cozy:

Pretty thrilled with how it turned out, considering I knit it partly while getting drunk with friends in preparation for finding out whether I got into universtiy.

And yes - I did get in, I have gotten celebratory already, I am terrified and excited at the same time, I’m going to be a midwife (!), and my other blog is here.

Now to go pack for a few days away in Sydney!!!

Progress and Paintings and Pirates, oh my!!

Today I took some paint and canvas and made this:

to brighten up the walls of our new house. The funniest thing is that the paint is called Pirates Patch - not really something you’d expect to be pink!

The other colours on the paint chip are Eleanor, Parraweena (??), and Flower Blossom. Strange but true. I will make some more of these in chocolate and teal and orange and green and decorate the whole house with them I think. At a few dollars each ($8 for the canvas, $3 for the paint) they are a cheap and interesting way to decorate I think!

In knitting news - I’m up to the repeats in my Clapotis:

and I bought a circular needle today to continue knitting. Fun!

Cherry Tree Lane

Aren’t they gorgeous!? It’s one skein of yummy lace weight that I dyed for a friend - well, it’s not the skein that I sent her but the skein left over.

In other news - I’ve made progress with the Clapotis and am nearly done with the setup rows. I will have to get a circular needle to do more of it though, as doing it on straights sucks!

And then there was 19…

So ebay took down all of my listings last night - for its own reasons, which is irritating as all get up because it also deleted my listings, which meants recreating them from scratch. So I downloaded TurboLister and updated all of my listings this morning, between going to work at 8am for a 10:15am shift (yes I messed up there).

So - go and have a look at my yarn for sale on ebay. The Cherry Tree Lane one will have a photo this afternoon, I promise!
