More yarn for sale

Here are big and pretty photos of what I have for sale at the moment!!

Cloud 9 (alpaca 8 ply)

Wild Flower Child (machine washable 12 ply)

Angel Eyes (machine washable 8 ply)

Thistledown (alpaca 8 ply)

Shimmer (feltable 8 ply)

In other news, my car has been written off and I’ll be paid out for it this week I hope. University is hard going and I wish there were more hours in the day so I could knit as well as work and study.

Fuss and bother

Instead of me posting an update on my knitting, I am instead writing to say that I am sorry if anyone was expecting anything of me this week - I owe at least one person a swap package, and probably some purchasers their yarn, but yesterday was a shit of a day involving me having my car written off and ending up in hospital after being in a car accident. It was an accident in the true sense of the word and I counted my toes this morning in the shower to ensure that yes I really did have them still. The accident could have been so much more worse but instead I walked away from it and am only shaken and a lot sore. No idea whether I’ll get my car fixed or paid out as yet, and I’m carless for a while which is a challenge!

Actually I will post an update - partly because it was my birthday last week and I wanted to thank people who sent me packages, and partly because I have made some knitting progress around school work! Full pictures accessible here.

Birthday (tea, birthday present fountain pen, needles and charms from the fantastic and sweet Frances):

Sock-ret pal swap package (overview, more sock yarn, cool sticky notes and yummy lipbalm!!):

Yarn from Japan (Osk’s trip resulted in 30 balls of yummy wool/silk yarn!):   - I now have to knit something out of it! It’s a pretty, standard 8ply yarn so I can make something large…

WIPs (one-armed Sonnet, Rogue, Clapotis, Tubey):

More dyeing

I’ve been busy skeining, dyeing and selling more yarn. Here are some photos:

Uni is amazingly hard work so I’ve not been knitting much. I’ve cast on Tubey, and am progressing with Cozy, and need to cast on some socks next. Maybe when I get my next YARNmagazine.

My tea is now cozy

I have been struggling, even in the hottest February we’ve had in a long time, with cold tea. So I knit a tea cozy during my lectures this week:

It’s made out of yellow wool that I love but will felt as soon as you look at it, in a pattern from YARNmagazine (due out soon!) from last year. The tie is Seaspray Mistique (alpaca and wool blend) from Bendigo Wool Mills, which I am going to knit Tubey out of.
