New banner for etsy
Hello everyone!! I am busy working on lots of things (depsite it being my holidays!) and this includes my banner for my etsy shop. So here are the new ones, and a funky little voting widget so you can tell me which one you like best.
1.
2.
3.
4.
Please go here and vote - I can’t convince blogsome to put the code in correctly, or else I’d have a cool little widget here.

Hi sweetpea.
Honestly I love the yarns in #1 but the name is hard to read -which is the case for all of them except #2. I would suggest a less “pretty” font and focus on readability much as I love love love “pretty” fonts.

Not even #4, with the font on a white background? Thanks for the feedback - I was torn between something plain, and something purdy, and you’ve convinced me to consider it again.

i like no 3 but if you could have a white outline on the wordings, that would makes it easier to read ^_^

I’d like… (just to be difficult)… number 3 with a white outline around each of the letters. Make sense? Or… the text from no. 3 in white on the first or second background.
Apologies if I’ve just mortally offended your artistic tastes

Dharma - have a look here for an update.

Michelle - Hmmm that’s a bit harder to whip up but I can see what you’re saying… graphic design isn’t my strong point!
Nomesque - bits and pieces of some are fine! My artistic tastes are legendary for their non-existence (I’m crafty, not arty!) so I can see what you’re saying. I’ll have a go!

I agree with posts 3 and 4 above (#3 with white outline aroudn the words) Or perhaps the working in total black or total white (easier for readability)

No 3 but with the yarn from no. 1…. (more interesting looking yarns - to me, at least!
Agree re white outline to letters if you can.

#1 is beautiful and my choice. Agreeing with Dharma … a more readible font would make it special!

I like the layout of #3 but would suggest that the background yarn go from light yarns to dark and the lettering more of a contrast color to the background yarn so that it stands out more.

Hi Em, I actually like 3 the best except the font is too hard to read….. I think a different font of a different color would be better. My second choice would be number 2!! Let me know which one you end up with so we can put it on the site! Lis

I voted for 4, but liked 3 although the orange writing was hard to read - what about dark purple writing???

I’m drawn to the first one for the colours but it’s difficult to read. I had a look at your update with the different font and that is much easier to read, is it possible to combine the two ideas?
Comment by Vicki — July 5, 2007 @ 8:50 am
I vote for the first picture, with the writing from the third one, in white but with a black drop shadow.

I can’t decide on what to vote for. My favourite background is number 2, but i prefer the text to be in front of the pic, rather than beside it. I’m torn between 1 and 2 - so a combination of these would be a clear winner!

I’ve voted for number 1. I really like number 3 too, but the writing is much clearer on number 1. Good work with all of them.
